Props

We didn't use that many propps as we felt the scene should be kept simple in order to concerntrate on the action taking place as teaser trailers are quite fast, therefore lots of propps have have detracted the audiences attention from the point of the shot.

However some shots were purposely framed in order to see certain props such as the bunch of flowers which are both a signifyer of romance and guilt. Romance because the two of them are a couple, and guilt because Ben feels guilty for being possesive of her when shes so perfect.
The iconography of the modern flat screen tv also helps to attract the youth target audience as a modern gadget is shown, the film must therfore be as good as the prop product shown.
The picture of the city behind their heads is used to signify their young age and that they're so free, with much time ahead of them, this could also possibly help with a little cross-over appeal to America as the city in the picture is of an New York.

Lisa wears a phalic shaped necklace throughout the film as aprophetic warning that she will die as a result of a phallic object as punishment of being sexually active and wearing revealing clothing, she has ironically sealed her own fate, which is a common convention of scream queens in horror films.

Ben wears some red ear-phones in a few of the shots, to signify running blood, as the ear-phones are red and drape down his body, they are used to help anchor the genre of horror to the audience, and also to doubt a little more, so that the audience think hes the killer, until all is revealed at the end of the film.

Catie tends to wear either a long wooden heart necklace or clear necklace at the start of the film; she starts with the clear to signify shes transparent so doesn't lie is just a genuinley nice girl, happ with her relationship with her boyfriend, but as the trailer goes on she starts to wear a wooden one this signifies the deterioration of the couples relationship, wooden to connote shes still natural and nice, but the material is opaque to connote shes not totally happy in her relationship anymore and because Ben has become so posessive shes no longer completely truthful.

Eventually after the shot of the text in the trailer she is no longer wearing any heart necklace to signify shes no longer in a relationship.

Two phallic shaped blue vases are framed in one of the shots when Catie is sat in her living room to signify the yearning for her the two males have, also being a prophetic warning as thy're glass and phallic shaped so could be used as a weapon by either of them.

Post-it spike
We frame a shot to use a spike in the shot, so that when in the scene Lewis understood something Catie had taught him they put the pos-it note with the thing he'd just learnt onto the spike, the iconography of these phallic objects like the bananas and spikes, are used as a common convention of horror films.
As they are linked to men in a patriarchal society having control over women, i.e. the phallic object signifies men having control over womens fate.
