Costume

Sarah Jepson (Catie) (central protagonist)-
costumes are powder coloured tops with jeans. This is connotes her innocence, as shes always covered up, wearing soft non-offensize colours, this also helps to qualify her for the final girl.
Catie wears long heart necklaces i alot of her begining shots to connote shes happy in her relationship with Ben, however isnt wearing it later on in the film trailer, when her boyfriend starts becoming too posessive and clingy of her shes no longer wearing it signifying she no-longer happy is ashamed of him and eventually ends thier relationship.

Ben Crossley (Ben)-
Ben is our male central protagonist whos in a relationship with Catie his costumes connote hes a keen confident sports player which feeds into the stereotype of a jock (popular sports guy, desired boyfriend), we show this through him wearing mainly tightly fitting tops, and vests, the stereotype is also anchored by his rugby-built figure, and single bold coloured tops to show he might be stereotypical looking but is quie a genuine guy this is a prophetic signifyer to hint the twist of the film,  as all the way through the film the audience suspects Ben as the killer/stalker (this is reflcted through his stereotypical popular look) but he isnt really the killer and in fact tries to save Catie shown through his loving genuine personality in the begining while still in a loving relationship, hes only actually being clingy because he wants to protect her as he doesnt trust the boy shes tutoring called Lewis.

Hannah Borden (Lisa)-
Hannah Borden is the scream queen for our trailer so her costumes are tighter fittig, lower cut and bolder colours. Tight fitting clothes connote that shes confident in her figure further anchored by the bold colours which connote shes happy to be seen, and has a loud personality, the denotation of the low cut tops and short cut skirts is that shes sexually active supporting the fact of her being the scream queen; as busty blonde and sexually active is the standard stereotype for a scream queen eg..Jenny Neumann in 'Hell Night' meaning we are not challenging the comon code and convention of the stereotypical scream queen but embracing it.

Ben Illif (Lewis)-
Lewis is the the main twist character in our film trailer, hes a geek however isnt very academic, he tends to wear shirts and baggy hoodies, the baggy hoodies connote that hes trying to fit in with popular characters like Ben (as Ben wears hoodies), however the hoodies simply drown him making him look less masucline and more goofy looking as appose to Bens broad stature and frame, the denotation of the shirts is that hes truly a geek underneath the big hoody, and signifys that he has something to hide.
This is a proohetic warning as the twist at the end of the film is that him the one boy Catie can still trust is actually the murderer of her friends and who tore her and Ben apart.
